Arabescato marble is a prestigious marble form the Apuanian Alps around Carrara and Versilia. It has a white crystalline background with characteristic grey veins.

It’s name derives from “arabesque” which describes the round patterns. Arabescato marble can be used for outdoor as well as for indoor applications. In the past it was often used in the building of churches such as St. Peter in Rome. Today Arabescato is used for traditional as well as for modern architectural applications, e.g. flooring, solid columns, wall cladding and countertops.
